  PEEK’s chemical resistance spans a wide range of fluids, including dilute acids, bases, and hydrocarbons, with a corrosion rate <0.01mm/year in most industrial chemicals. In a pharmaceutical manufacturing test, PEEK probes remained unharmed after 6 months in 10% sulfuric acid, while 316 stainless steel showed pitting corrosion.

  At low temperatures, PEEK retains impressive toughness. Its notched impact strength remains >20 kJ/m?? at -100°C, avoiding the brittle fracture that plagues many plastics.
